If you were running Windows 10, you may have noticed the AB Command download icon appearing on your desktop.
The AB Command download app includes a number of helpful features, including power management, animation control, and a Windows calculator.
However, many users have stated on Microsoft forums that the AB Command download app won’t uninstall.
- The AB Commander download issue can occur if the default browser settings are altered.

Uninstall the program via Windows Control Panel

Use the regsvr32 command
- Type cmd in the search utility of Windows 10.
- Right-click Command prompt and select Run as Administrator.
- Type regsvr32 in Command prompt’s window and press Enter.
Use SFC and DISM
- Start Command prompt as administrator. To do that, you can use the steps from the previous solution.
- When Command prompt starts, enter sfc/scannow and press Enter.
- The SFC scan will now start. When it’s finished, it will show you a list of any corrupted files. Click on Show repair details and follow the instructions.

- Open the Run accessory by pressing the Windows key + R hotkey.
- Enter sfc /scannow in the Open box, and click OK.
- If SFC finds any corruption, it will automatically repair it.
- Press the Windows key + R hotkey to open Run, and enter DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in the Open box.
- Then press the Enter key.
- Wait for DISM to scan for corruptions and initiate its repairs.
Use DISM to repair the system files
- Open Command prompt with administrator permissions. To do that, press the Windows key + X hotkey, and select Run as administrator.
- Input dism /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in Command prompt’s text field, and press the Return key.
- Press the Enter key.
- DISM will check system files and resolve any that might be corrupt.
Restart Windows Update service
- Press Windows key + R to open Run and type”services.msc” (without the quotes) and hit Enter.
- Scroll through the list and look for Windows Update service.
- Right-click on the service and select Restart from the context menu.
