AB Command Download: User Manual

If you were running Windows 10, you may have noticed the AB Command download icon appearing on your desktop.
The AB Command download app includes a number of helpful features, including power management, animation control, and a Windows calculator.
However, many users have stated on Microsoft forums that the AB Command download app won’t uninstall.

  • The AB Commander download issue can occur if the default browser settings are altered.

Uninstall the program via Windows Control Panel

Use the regsvr32 command

  1. Type cmd in the search utility of Windows 10.
  2. Right-click Command prompt and select Run as Administrator.

  3. Type regsvr32 in Command prompt’s window and press Enter.

Use SFC and DISM

  1. Start Command prompt as administrator. To do that, you can use the steps from the previous solution.
  2. When Command prompt starts, enter sfc/scannow and press Enter.

  3. The SFC scan will now start. When it’s finished, it will show you a list of any corrupted files. Click on Show repair details and follow the instructions.

  1. Open the Run accessory by pressing the Windows key + R hotkey.
  2. Enter sfc /scannow in the Open box, and click OK.

  4. Press the Windows key + R hotkey to open Run, and enter DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in the Open box.
  5. Then press the Enter key.

Use DISM to repair the system files

  1. Open Command prompt with administrator permissions. To do that, press the Windows key + X hotkey, and select Run as administrator.
  2. Input dism /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in Command prompt’s text field, and press the Return key.

  3. Press the Enter key.
  4. DISM will check system files and resolve any that might be corrupt.

Restart Windows Update service

  1. Press Windows key + R to open Run and type”services.msc” (without the quotes) and hit Enter.
  2. Scroll through the list and look for Windows Update service.
