Change Google Default Account: Tips and Tricks

If you log into a new Windows PC with your Google account, you may notice that several applications, including Google Chrome, are already logged in, and your default account is your Google account.
However, this may not be the case, and you can change it to a different account, such as your Microsoft account, and today we’re going to show you how to do it.

Check your email settings

  1. Open the Gmail homepage.

Check which Google account you are using

  1. Go to Google and sign in.
  2. Go to Account and select your Google account.
  3. Go to the Account settings page and scroll down until you see the Default account section.

Modify the registry

  1. Type regedit in the Run box and click OK.
  2. Under the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet Settings, find the DefaultAccounts value.

  3. Right-click and delete it.
  4. Now, right-click the DefaultAccounts value and select New DWORD (32-bit) Value.
