In Call of Duty Black Ops 4, some players reported seeing a Black Screen during gameplay.

Update your graphics card drivers
- Run the GeForce Experience tool.
- Navigate to the Settings tab.
- Click on Game Optimization and click on Enable Game Optimization.
- Close the tool and restart your PC.
Update your Windows 10
- Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Select Update & Security.
- Click on Check for updates.
- Install all pending updates.
- Restart your computer.
Disable any anti-virus program
- Press Windows Key + R, enter msconfig, and click OK.
- When System Configuration opens, go to the Services tab, select Hide all Microsoft services, and press Disable all.
- Click the Startup tab, uncheck Load startup items, and press Disable all.
- Go to the General tab, enter 4 for the Maximum memory size, and click Apply and OK to save changes.
- Restart your PC.
Disable any security software
- As we previously said, some security software can block game files and this in return causes Call of Duty Black Screen of Death.
- Disable your security software temporarily or check for any fixes available.

Run the Command prompt
- Click Start and type in Command prompt.
- Right-click on the first result and choose Run as Administrator.
- At the prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
wusa.exe /uninstall /u:0 /f - Now, type the following command and press Enter:
wusa.exe /uninstall /u:1
Check to see if your drivers are up to date
- Go to Search, type device manager, and open the first result.
- Expand the Display adapters section, right-click your graphics card, and choose Update driver.
Check your display settings
- Go to Settings, then System, and then to Display.
- Click on the Display tab and make sure that the Display scaling option is set to 100 (100%) and the Adaptive Display option is checked.
Check your display settings in Nvidia and AMD
- Press the Windows + I keys to open Settings.
- Click System and then click on Display.
- Click on Advanced Settings and select Adjust for best performance.
- Restart your game.
Boot in Safe Mode
- Press the Windows key + S and type msconfig. Click on the System Configuration app from the results.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Click on the Startup tab.
- Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft Services.
- Under Services, uncheck Hide all Microsoft Services.
- Click on OK to save changes.
- Restart your computer.
Use Command prompt to fix Call of Duty Black Screen
- Type cmd in the search bar, right-click on Command prompt and select Run As Administrator.
- In the command line, copy and paste the following command and press Enter: net stop pcscd
- Quit Command prompt and restart your PC.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the console.
- Hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
- Release the button.
- Press the Power button again to restart the console.
