How to Set up iPhone 4 Without iTunes

iTunes manages our iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices, and users might have problems setting up or restoring their iPhone 4 without using iTunes.

Change your iPhone

  1. Plug in your iPhone to your PC.

    Go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone, and toggle off Find My iPhone.
  4. Turn off Passcode
    Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn Passcode Off.
  5. Turn off Activation Lock
    Go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud and turn off iCloud.
  6. Turn off Find My Phone
    Go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone, and toggle off Find My iPhone.

Install the latest iTunes

  1. Download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple Software Update website.
  2. Run the downloaded setup file and install it.
  3. Allow it to install all the prerequisites.
