Facebook is undoubtedly one of the most used social media networks worldwide, with 2.32 billion active users per month.
However, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t benefit from updates.
In fact, as Facebook updates, it so happens that users may experience glitches, errors, and bugs.

Check if your account is locked out
- 1. Go to the Facebook login page.
- 2. Enter your login details.
- 3. If Facebook asks you to enter your password for security reasons, enter it.
- 4. After logging in, go to Settings > General.
- 5. Open Your Facebook Information.
- 6. If your account is locked out, a blue notice appears.
- 7. Click Unlock.
Check if you have the latest version of the Facebook App
- From your desktop, open the browser.
- Type the URL of Facebook.com and click on the Enter key or click on the browser’s icon.
- A Facebook login page will open. Enter your login details and click the Login button.
- In the Facebook app, locate and click on the Menu icon.
- Scroll down to Settings, click on it, and then click on the Help and Support.
- A Troubleshooting window will open. Under it, locate and click on the Update Your Facebook App.
- A confirmation window will open, click Yes to update the Facebook app.
Check your internet connection
- Check if the internet connection is up and running.
- Test your internet connection, go to a website like †̃whatsmyip’, and see if your IP is numerical.
- If not, try connecting your modem/router to your PC and check again.
- Restart your PC

Check if the Facebook app is up to date
- Open the Facebook app on your device and tap on the profile picture at top right.
- Check if the app has a notification badge.
- If the badge says there is an update available, then follow the instructions below.

- If you are using a Windows device, ensure that you have allowed Facebook app to access your contacts, location etc.
