Windows 10 comes with a simple Schedule PC shutdown feature that can help you get your PC to shut down at a specified time.

Modify the Shutdown schedule
- To ensure that your PC shuts down at the desired time, double-click the Start icon on the taskbar and select Settings.
- Click System and select Power & sleep.
- Next, select the Change advanced power settings.
- Click Change plan settings next to the specified power plan.
- Click the Change advanced settings link.
- Click Change advanced power settings on the System Properties window.
- Click the Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Select the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option.
- Select the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Save changes button.
- Look for the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option in the list of options.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button.
Run Windows Updates
- Click Start, type Windows Update, and then click on Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates, and then click on Install updates automatically.
- Once updates are downloaded, restart the system.
- Check if the issue persists.
- Run Disk Cleanup
Open Start, type Disk Cleanup, and then click on Disk Cleanup. - Click Clean up system files, and then click on OK.

Delete a problematic .INI file
- Press Windows + R to open Run, enter explorer, and click OK.
- In the window that opens, navigate to the following path: Windows > System32 > config
- Locate and delete the .INI file named shutdown.
- Reboot your computer.
Turn off Automatic Updates
- Launch the Control Panel and go to Update and Security.
- Select View update history.
- Right-click the Update you want to disable and select Uninstall updates.
- Click Uninstall.
