Perform a Clean Boot
- Type msconfig in the Search bar, and click on the relevant search result.
- In the System Configuration window, click on the General tab.
- Now, uncheck the Load Startup Items and Load System Services options.
- Click on the Services tab.
- Disable all the services in the Startup type drop-down menu.
- Click OK and restart your computer.
- Check your keyboard key in Device Manager

- Reset your keyboard
Uninstall the Keyboard driver
- Press the Windows key + X keys, and select Device Manager from the list.
- Locate the Keyboard Controller entry, right-click on it, and select Uninstall device.
- On the Confirm Device Uninstall window, click the Uninstall button.
- Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
- Try reinstalling the keyboard driver.
Update the Keyboard driver
- Press the Windows key + S, type Device Manager, and click on the relevant search result.
- Double-click on the Keyboards category to expand it.
- Right-click on the desired keyboard, and select Update driver from the context menu.
- Select the Search automatically for drivers option and click on the Next button.
- Windows will now attempt to update the keyboard’s drivers automatically.
Repair the Keyboard
- Press the Win + X keys and open Device Manager.
- Go to Keyboards and expand it.
- Right-click on the problematic keyboard and click on Properties.
- Click on the Driver tab and click on the Roll Back Driver button.
- Then follow the onscreen instructions.
- Reset the Keyboard Settings
Press the Win + X keys. - Open Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards and find the problematic keyboard.
- Right-click on it and choose Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power unticked.
- Click OK to save the changes.
