When you can’t connect to the internet, it can be very frustrating, but thankfully, there are some solutions you can implement.
- The wifi adapter not internet secured error is usually the result of outdated drivers.
- To fix it, try installing the latest Intel Wireless Adapter drivers.
- You can also try turning off the firewall, and disabling IPV6, amongst other fixes.
Update the driver
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters section.
- Right-click on the Wireless adapter and Update the driver.
Reinstall the Network Adapter
- Press Windows Key + X on your keyboard and choose Device Manager from the list.
- In the Device Manager window, expand Network adapters section.
- Right-click on the wireless adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
- Install the New Network Adapter
Remove the VPN
- Open the Settings app and navigate to the Network and Internet section.
- Select VPN.
- Locate your VPN connection and remove it.
- Now try to connect again.
- Reinstall the VPN
Open the Settings app and go to the Network and Internet section. - Select VPN.
- Locate your current VPN connection and remove it.
- Now select Add VPN.
- Select PPTP or L2TP as the VPN type.
- Input your desired VPN hostname.
- Input your VPN username and password.
- Select Save.
- Now try to connect again.
Clear the DNS cache
- 1. Open the Control Panel.
- 2. Click on Network and Internet.
- 3. Click Network and Sharing Center.
- 4. Click Change Adapter Settings.
- 5. Right click on the adapter and click Properties.
6. Click on the DNS tab.
7. Click Use the following DNS server addresses. - 8. Type 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Change DNS

Open the Settings app and navigate to the Network & Internet section.
Select Wi-Fi on the left.
Choose your preferred Wi-Fi network.
Locate the Preferred networks section and select your Wi-Fi network.
In the right pane, click the Properties button.
In the Properties window, click the Configure button.
In the Configure window, click the Advanced button.
Under the Advanced tab, select the DNS tab.
Select the primary DNS and enter Google DNS.
Select the second DNS and enter 8.8.8.8.
Click Apply and Ok to save the changes.
Reinstall the WiFi adapter driver
- Press the Windows key + S and type Device Manager.
- Select Device Manager from the list of results.
- Locate the wireless adapter and right-click on it.
- Click Uninstall device from the menu.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.
