Troubleshooting Youtube Freeze on Google Chrome

Erase your browser history

1. Press the Menu key on Chrome, and select History.
2. Next, select the Time range option, and select All time.
   
3. Click Clear browsing data.

Disable Hardware Acceleration

1. Open the Google Chrome application.
   
2. Open Settings from the menu.
3. Navigate to the Site Settings section.
4. Scroll down, select Enable Hardware Acceleration and uncheck the box next to it.
5. Restart Google Chrome and see if the problem persists.
6. Disable Proxy Server
   Open Google Chrome.
7. Click on Settings.
   
8. Scroll down and select Advanced.
9. Scroll down and click Change proxy settings.
10. In the Proxy Server section, select No proxy.
11. Restart Google Chrome and see if the problem persists.
12. Reset Google Chrome
    In Google Chrome, click on the three-dotted menu and select Settings.
13. Click on Advanced in the Settings window and then choose Reset.
14. In the Reset section, click on Reset…
15. Select Restore settings to their original defaults.
    
16. Click on Reset.

Clear your browser cookies

1. Press the Ctrl + Shift + Delete keys on your keyboard to open the Clear browsing data window.
2. Select the Cookies and other site data option.
3. Click the Clear data button.
   
4. Try playing the video again, and see if the issue persists.

Update Google Chrome and Adobe Flash

1. Check for updates in Chrome > click on the Update Google Chrome button
2. Check for updates in Flash > click on the Allow Adobe Flash update button
   

Select a different video format

1. First, open the video in Chrome that you want to watch.
2. Right-click the video and then select Inspect.
   
3. Next, click on the Network tab.
4. Now, select a different format from the Video Codec drop-down menu.
