How to Change the Webcam Brightness in Windows 10

Make sure the device is connected

1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.

1. Right-click the webcam icon from your desktop
2. Select Properties

3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth will scan your computer for any corrupt system files.
4. Now type the following command and press Enter: SFC /scannow
   
5. SFC /scannow will scan your computer for any corrupt system files.

Change the webcam properties

1. Open the camera properties
   Press the Windows key + R to open Run, type †̃devmgmt.msc’ in the search box, and click OK.
2. Navigate to the Imaging devices section.
3. Right-click the webcam device and select Properties.
4. Click on the Advanced tab.
5. Choose the Camera Light tab.
6. Under the Camera Light section, select the Brightness Level option.
   
7. Set the Brightness Level option to Low or Medium.
